Frequently asked questions
Do I need an ICE to use Billora as a freelance?
The ICE (Common Enterprise Identifier) is mandatory for anyone conducting economic activity in Morocco since 2016, including registered freelancers (patente, RC, or auto-entrepreneur). Billora displays your ICE on every invoice — it's a mandatory mention for the DGI.
Can I invoice with or without VAT?
Both. Billora adapts to your status: if you're VAT-liable (ceiling exceeded, or voluntary option), rates 20%, 14%, 10%, 7% and exempt are available. If you're exempt (auto-entrepreneur, threshold not reached), invoices go out without VAT and the appropriate legal mention.
How do convertible quotes work?
You create a quote with your services, send it by email, the client accepts it (sometimes verbally, sometimes with a signed "agreed" form). In one click, you turn that quote into an invoice: same lines, same amounts, new number in the invoice sequence, status "to send".
