Change invoicing software without starting from scratch.
One guide per tool, a single import format: export your clients and products as CSV, map the columns, then import them into Billora.
How a migration works
The principle is the same whatever tool you are leaving.
Export from your tool
Get your clients and products as CSV or Excel. Each guide says where to find the export.
Adapt the file
Start from our CSV templates or keep your own columns: you map them to Billora fields at import time. Check the ICE (15 digits) above all.
Import into Billora
In Settings, Import / Export section, load the file, check the column mapping, then start the import. A report lists skipped rows and errors.
Pick your current tool
Each guide covers the export, the move to the Billora format and the points to watch (ICE, VAT, numbering).

Is your invoicing in a spreadsheet? Prepare the sheet, save it as CSV UTF-8 and import it.
See the guideYour tool is not listed? If you can extract your clients and products to a spreadsheet or a CSV file, the Excel guide applies: Billora's import does not depend on the tool you come from.
What Billora's import does
It works the same way for every migration.
- It reads CSV files (.csv or .txt) up to 5 MB, in UTF-8, with a comma, semicolon or tab as separator.
- It processes up to 500 rows per file: beyond that, split your file into several parts.
- It lets you map each column of your file to a Billora field; common column headings are recognised automatically.
- It imports clients, suppliers, products, invoices, quotes and purchase orders, one type at a time, with a CSV template you can download in the application.
- It skips duplicates (for example the same e-mail, the same ICE or the same name) and flags every row in error, such as an ICE that is not 15 digits long.
- The limits of your subscription apply: rows beyond the allowed number are not imported.
- Only the account owner and administrators can import data.
CSV templates to download
Two ready-to-fill templates whose columns carry the Billora field names. Templates for suppliers, invoices, quotes and purchase orders can be downloaded inside the application (Settings, Import / Export).
The sample rows in the templates are fictitious: replace them with your own data before importing.
Migration frequently asked questions
Can I import an Excel .xlsx file directly?
No: Billora only reads CSV files. In Excel, use "Save as" and pick the "CSV UTF-8" format. The Excel guide walks you through it.
My columns are not named like your templates: is that a problem?
No. At the "Mapping" step of the import, you match each column to a Billora field; common names are recognised automatically and you fix the rest by hand.
What happens if my file contains errors?
Valid rows are imported, duplicates are skipped and each rejected row is listed with its reason (for example an incomplete ICE). Fix the file and import it again: rows already imported are skipped as duplicates.
Should I keep my old files?
Yes. Keeping your accounting documents for the legal period (10 years in Morocco) is your responsibility: keep your original files and exports, even after moving to Billora.
