Migrate from Zoho Books to Billora
in hours, without loss.

Zoho Books is an excellent international tool but weak on Morocco DGI compliance. Migration to Billora takes hours, no sequence break, and adds all Moroccan compliance as a bonus.

≈ 1-2 hours Simple migration

Migrate from Zoho Books in 4 steps

A clear path so nothing gets lost along the way.

1

Export from Zoho Books

From Zoho Books → Settings → Import/Export → Data export, select "All data" as CSV.

2

Convert USD → MAD if needed

If your Zoho was set in USD, product prices are in dollars.

3

Adapt to Billora format

Rename columns using the Billora template.

4

Import and configure compliance

Import in Billora, then fill your missing Moroccan identifiers.

Detailed migration guide

Each step explained, with Moroccan-specific attention points (ICE, numbering, VAT).

1

Export from Zoho Books

From Zoho Books → Settings → Import/Export → Data export, select "All data" as CSV.

  • Zoho generates a ZIP with Contacts.csv, Items.csv, Invoices.csv
  • Download all and unzip
  • Contacts = clients, Items = products/services
2

Convert USD → MAD if needed

If your Zoho was set in USD, product prices are in dollars.

  • Note today's USD → MAD rate (e.g. ~10 MAD/USD)
  • Multiply HT prices in Items.csv by this rate
  • Billora will invoice in MAD by default, EUR/USD conversion possible per client
3

Adapt to Billora format

Rename columns using the Billora template.

  • Zoho "Company Name" → Billora "name"
  • Zoho "GSTIN" (if used for ICE) → Billora "ice" — verify 15 digits
  • Zoho "Payment Terms" → Billora "paymentTerms" (in days)
  • Save as CSV UTF-8
4

Import and configure compliance

Import in Billora, then fill your missing Moroccan identifiers.

  • Settings → Import → upload clients and products
  • Settings → Company → complete ICE, IF, RC, patente if absent from Zoho
  • Settings → Numbering → resume Zoho's sequence

Ready-to-use CSV templates

Download the Billora import file templates, fill them from your export and import them directly into Billora.

Attention points

What changes (and what doesn't)

ICE/IF/RC absent from Zoho

Zoho uses "GSTIN" (India) or "VAT number" (generic) — no native ICE/IF/RC. If you stored them in Zoho custom fields, export them manually. Otherwise, fill them client-by-client in Billora after import.

Historical invoice recovery

Zoho invoices can be exported as PDF individually. We recommend keeping Zoho active 90 days after migration to consult/download any needed history — then cancel.

Multi-rate VAT

Zoho has basic VAT handling. In Billora, each product can have its rate (20%, 14%, 10%, 7%, exempt). After import, double-check rates: Zoho sometimes exports a single default rate.

Migration frequently asked questions

Is Zoho INV-000001 numbering compatible?

Billora follows the DGI-recommended format (INV-2026-XXXX). After import, configure the next number in the new format — the DGI appreciates the year visibility. Your old Zoho invoices keep their original names if you import them.

Does Zoho keep my data after cancellation?

Zoho keeps your data readable for 90 days after cancellation. We recommend cancelling only once convinced (30 days of Billora parallel test).

What about my recurring clients (retainers)?

Zoho recurrences are not transferred automatically. Recreate them in Billora (Settings → Recurring invoicing) — it's 2-3 minutes per recurrence. Our team can help if you have many.
