The ICE (identifiant commun de l'entreprise — Common Business Identifier) is the 15-digit number that identifies every Moroccan company with all government administrations. It must appear on your invoices, and on your suppliers' invoices if you want to deduct VAT. Here is where to find it and how to check it.

What is the ICE?
The ICE is a unique 15-digit number assigned to every company and every professional. It is assigned when the company is created (by the Regional Investment Center or OMPIC) and does not change. To see how it fits with the other identifiers (IF, RC, TP), read our complete guide.
Where to find a company's ICE
- On its invoices and quotes, where it must appear.
- On the commercial register extract and the incorporation documents.
- On its tax certificates.
- On the portal dedicated to the ICE (ice.gov.ma), which lets you look up or verify the ICE of an existing company.
- The simplest way: ask the company when you start the business relationship.
How to verify an ICE
- The number of digits: an ICE has exactly 15 digits. With 14 or 16 digits, it is invalid.
- The characters: it contains only digits. Remove spaces, dots or hyphens before counting.
- Consistency: the company name on the invoice must match the one linked to the ICE. If in doubt, check on the official portal.
These format checks do not prove that the company exists: only a check with the official source confirms it.
Why is the ICE so important?
- Invoices: your customer's (company's) ICE must appear on your invoices; a wrong ICE can complicate your customer's VAT deduction.
- Electronic invoicing: the ICE is central to the DGI system. See DGI e-invoicing: why the ICE is mandatory.
ICE in Billora
When you create a customer or a supplier, Billora checks the ICE format (15 digits) and strips any stray characters entered. You enter your own ICE only once in Settings → Company, and it is printed on every document.
Frequently asked questions
How many digits does the ICE have?
Fifteen, exactly.
Where can I find a company's ICE?

Are the ICE and the IF the same?
No. The ICE is the 15-digit common identifier; the IF is the number assigned by the DGI. Read IF for companies: where to find it.
What should I do if a supplier's ICE is wrong or missing?
Ask them for a corrected invoice: the ICE is one of the mandatory mentions.
