What are plans and limits for?

Your Billora subscription decides two things: what you can use (features) and how much of it (limits: number of clients, invoices, users…).

Example. Karima runs a home decor shop in Marrakech. She creates about twenty invoices a month and has ten regular clients. She opens her subscription page to check that she still has room before the end of the month, and to see whether automatic reminders are included in her subscription.

Plans are configured by Billora

Plan names, prices, limits and features change over time. This article deliberately cites none of them: the reference is always the Pricing page of the website and the Plan & Facturation (Plan & Billing) page of your workspace.

1. See where you stand

  1. In the menu, open Paramètres (Settings), then Plan & Facturation (Plan & Billing).
  2. The Abonnement actuel (Current subscription) block is displayed. There you can read your plan, its status, your rate and the number of enabled features.
  3. Further down, the Utilisation (Usage) section shows a progress bar for each resource: Clients, Factures (Invoices), Devis (Quotes), Dépenses (Expenses), Utilisateurs (Users) and Stockage (Mo) (Storage (MB)).
  4. Finally, the Tous les plans (All plans) table compares your plan with the others, line by line.

What you see in "Abonnement actuel":

  • The status: Actif (Active), Période d'essai (Trial period), Suspendu (Suspended), Annulé (Cancelled) or Impayé (Unpaid).
  • The rate, with the original price crossed out if a discount applies, the Tarif négocié (Negotiated rate) label if a special price was agreed with Billora, or the promo code applied.
  • A green banner "Vous bénéficiez d'une période offerte" (You have a free period) when you have nothing to pay until a given date.

2. Limits: "per month" or "per account"

Each limit has a counting type, chosen by Billora for each plan:

  • Per month: the counter resets to zero at the start of each calendar month. By default this applies to invoices, quotes, expenses and purchase orders.
  • Per account: the counter never resets; it counts everything you have created since the account was opened. By default this applies to clients, suppliers, products, users, bank accounts and storage.
Good to know

"By default" means Billora can set the type differently on a given plan. The Tous les plans (All plans) table shows "/ mois" (/ month) or "/ compte" (/ account) next to each limit: it is the authority. A limit displayed as Illimité (Unlimited) has no cap.

Reading the usage bars

  • Normal-coloured bar: you are far from the cap.
  • Orange bar: you have used 80% or more of the limit.
  • Red bar: the limit is reached.

On the dashboard, an orange banner also warns you when you are approaching the monthly invoice limit: "Vous avez utilisé X/Y factures ce mois-ci" (You have used X/Y invoices this month), with a Passer à un plan supérieur (Upgrade to a higher plan) link.

3. What happens when a limit is reached?

When you try to create a new item (an invoice, a client…), Billora shows a « Limite atteinte » (Limit reached) box with the Mettre à niveau (Upgrade) button. Creation is refused, but:

  • your existing data is intact; you can still view, edit and export it;
  • with a "per month" limit, you can create again starting the following month;
  • with a "per account" limit, the only way out is a subscription with a higher limit (see Change plan).

Storage space (MB)

The Stockage (Mo) (Storage, MB) limit covers the space taken by the files you upload to Billora: receipts and attachments (expenses, payments, clients, suppliers, goods receipts, cash), logo, stamp, signature, letterhead images, tax compliance certificate and attachments sent to support. The PDFs of your invoices, quotes and other documents do not count: they are generated on demand, not stored.

When a file no longer fits in the remaining space:

  • the upload is refused and nothing is saved, with the message « Espace de stockage plein : X Mo utilisés sur Y Mo, ce fichier (Z Mo) ne tient pas. » (Storage full: X MB used out of Y MB, this file (Z MB) does not fit), followed by the plan that offers more space when there is one;
  • on a record (expense, client…), the Ajouter un document (Add a document) area is replaced by the « Limite atteinte — Stockage » (Limit reached — Storage) box;
  • attachments sent to support are never blocked, so you can always reach us.

To free up space, delete documents you no longer need, or switch to a subscription with more space. The Stockage (Mo) bar updates a few moments after a deletion. To see which files take up your space, open Paramètres → Fichiers et stockage (Settings → Files and storage) (see See your files and the storage space used).

4. Features included or not

Some features depend on your subscription (for example automatic reminders or accountant access). When one of them is not included, Billora does not break anything and shows no technical error. Depending on the place, it is either hidden or visible but greyed out with this message:

"Cette fonctionnalité est disponible à partir du plan [nom du plan]." (This feature is available starting from the [plan name] plan.)

The name displayed is read from the current configuration: it is the first active plan that includes the feature. If no plan includes it, you read: "Cette fonctionnalité n'est pas disponible sur votre abonnement actuel." (This feature is not available on your current subscription.)

Good to know: your settings are never lost

If you configured an option (for example showing a signature on your PDFs) and your subscription no longer includes it, the option appears unchecked and is not applied to your documents, including on the PDF side. Your setting stays saved: it reactivates on its own if the feature comes back into your subscription.

5. Who can see this page?

The owner and administrators can view the Plan & Facturation page. Team members and readers see it in read-only mode. The external accountant has no access to settings. For details on roles, see Team roles and access.

During test mode

As long as your account is in test mode, all features are open and no limit applies. Your subscription limits apply from the moment your account is activated (see Trial period and test mode).

Frequently asked questions

Where can I find prices?

On the Pricing page of the website, and in the "Tous les plans" table under Paramètres → Plan & Facturation (Settings → Plan & Billing). They are updated by Billora: no price is fixed in this article.

When does a "per month" limit reset?

At the start of each calendar month (the 1st of the month).

Do I lose data if I exceed a limit?

No. Billora only refuses to create new items. Nothing that exists is deleted.

Does my accountant count as a user?

No. Invited accountants are external contributors: they do not take up a seat in the "Utilisateurs" (Users) limit. However, accountant access is itself a feature that depends on your subscription.

I can't see a feature I was told about.

It is probably not included in your subscription. Open the relevant page: the invitation message tells you from which plan it is available.
