What is it for?
The dashboard is the first page you see when you log in. It answers three questions: where does my business stand? What do I need to handle today? What has happened recently?
Example. Every morning, Rachid, who runs a cleaning company in Kénitra, glances at his dashboard: two overdue invoices to chase, a quote about to expire, and his revenue for the month. In one minute, his day is planned.
1. The left menu
On the left, a column of icons (the "rail") gives access to the main sections. Click an icon to display the list of its pages in a panel:
- Tableau de bord (Dashboard): this page.
- Facturation (Billing): invoices, recurring invoices, quotes, proforma invoices, credit notes, delivery notes, expenses, purchase orders, purchase receipts.
- Paiements (Payments): overview, payments received and made, cheques, bank deposits, collections.
- Répertoire (Directory): clients, suppliers, products, and depending on your subscription, stock and warehouses.
- Rapports (Reports): revenue, expenses, VAT (TVA), aged balance, cash flow…
- Comptabilité (Accounting): Espace comptable (Accountant space), Points d'attention (Points of attention), Justificatifs manquants (Missing supporting documents).
- Paramètres (Settings): all the settings for your company and your account.
- Journal d'activité (Activity log): the history of what has been done in the account.
At the bottom of the rail: the Aide (Help) button (Help Centre, Contact support) and the button to collapse or show the menu.
Some entries do not appear depending on your role (the accountant has a reduced menu) or your subscription (a feature not included is hidden or greyed out). See Team roles and access.
2. The top bar
- The page title and today's date.
- Changer de compte (Switch account): visible only if your email address is attached to several companies.
- Créer (Create): a menu that groups all the "New…" items (invoice, quote, credit note, expense, client, product, payment…). Shortcut: Alt+C (⌥+C on Mac). Hidden in read-only mode.
- Rechercher… (Search…): the command palette, which looks for a client, an invoice or an action. Shortcut: Ctrl+K (⌘+K).
- The "?" button (tooltip "Aide sur cette page" — Help on this page): opens, in a new tab, the help center article that explains the screen you are on. For example, from the VAT report it opens File VAT in Billora. A screen without a dedicated article leads to its help section, otherwise to the help home page. Visible to all roles.
- The theme light or dark, the Nouveautés (What's new) icon and the notifications bell (absent for the accountant).
- Your name: menu with Paramètres (for the roles that have access to it) and Déconnexion (Log out).
Above the bar, a banner is displayed depending on your situation: Mode test (with the days remaining and Activer mon compte) or a subscription banner (trial ending soon, invoice limit nearly reached). See Trial period and test mode.
For the list of keyboard shortcuts: Keyboard shortcuts and command palette.
3. Choose the period
At the top of the page, the message "Voici un aperçu de votre activité pour…" (Here is an overview of your activity for…) specifies the period. The Cette année (This year), Année dernière (Last year), Ce trimestre (This quarter), Ce mois (This month) and Mois dernier (Last month) buttons change it; next to them, a year and the T1 to T4 buttons let you target a specific quarter. The Personnaliser (Customise) button lets you move the blocks by drag and drop (from one part of the screen to the other), hide them and show them again, and the circular arrow (Actualiser, Refresh) reloads the figures. See Customise the dashboard.
4. The key figures
| Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Chiffre d'affaires HT (Revenue excl. VAT) | Your sales for the period, with the trend, net of credit notes. |
| Dépenses HT (Expenses excl. VAT) | Your validated expenses for the period. |
| Résultat net (Net result) | Revenue excl. VAT − expenses excl. VAT. |
| Factures émises (Invoices issued) | The number of invoices for the period. |
| Solde impayé (Unpaid balance) | What your clients owe you, all years combined. |
| Devis en cours (Quotes in progress) | Quotes sent, awaiting the client's response. |
5. What there is to handle
- Actions requises (Required actions): a red counter and tabs En retard (Overdue) (invoices), Devis (Quotes) (expiring), Dépenses (Expenses) (to pay)… Each tab lists the items concerned and links to the filtered list. When you use e-invoicing, DGI tabs are added.
- Dernières factures (Latest invoices): the most recent ones; one click opens the record.
- Activité récente (Recent activity): the latest actions in the account.
- Conseils (Tips): figures-based observations (for example "3 factures en retard", 3 overdue invoices).
- Démarrez avec Billora: the list of getting-started steps, until it is completed (see The first things to do).
- Nouveautés: recent features, with a direct link.
6. The charts
- CA vs Dépenses (Revenue vs Expenses): your sales and your expenses, month by month.
- Flux de trésorerie (Cash flow): what is actually collected and paid out (unlike the previous chart, which shows what is invoiced and spent).
- Statut des factures (Invoice status): the breakdown (draft, sent, paid, overdue…).
- Other decision-support blocks (30-day cash flow, receivables by age, cheques, promises…) are described in Customise the dashboard.
7. The VAT summary
The Résumé TVA (VAT summary) block displays the VAT for the current month (collected, deductible, to declare). It always carries the notice that these amounts are indicative: Billora is not accounting software, have your returns validated by your accountant.
Frequently asked questions
Why are some blocks not displayed for me?
Either you hid them with Personnaliser, or they depend on a feature your subscription does not include, or your role does not give access to them.
My figures are at zero.
Check the period chosen. And in test mode, your data is what you entered for the trial.
Where are the settings?
In the left rail (Settings icon), or in the menu at your name at the top right.
What is the shortcut to create an invoice?
Ctrl+Alt+N (and not N alone: single letters are not used so as not to interfere with your typing).
How do I get help on the screen I am on?
Click the "?" button in the top bar: the article that explains this screen opens in a new tab, without leaving your work. You can also use the Aide (Help) button at the bottom of the left menu (Centre d'aide, Contacter le support).
