What is it for?
The trial period lets you use Billora without paying anything while you get a feel for it. This article answers three questions: how long, what changes at the end, and how to avoid an unpleasant surprise.
Example. Sara, a freelance graphic designer in Casablanca, signs up on the 3rd of the month. She tests the tool, then, a few days before her trial ends, she writes to the Billora team to choose her subscription: her account continues without interruption.
The trial period concerns your subscription; test mode concerns your data (fictitious until you activate your account). Both are explained in Trial period and test mode.
1. How long does the trial last?
The duration depends on the plan chosen at sign-up: Billora sets it plan by plan, and it may change. You can find it on the Pricing page and at the "Plan" step of sign-up. Some plans have no trial: in that case the subscription is active from sign-up.
During the trial, no subscription invoice is issued. In Paramètres → Plan & Facturation (Settings → Plan & Billing), the displayed status is Période d'essai (Trial period); if a free period is under way, a green banner states: "Aucun paiement n'est dû jusqu'au [date]. La facturation normale reprendra automatiquement à cette date." (No payment is due until [date]. Normal billing will resume automatically on that date.)
2. What you see before the end
- Less than 8 days before the end: an orange banner at the top of the screen: "Il vous reste N jours d'essai." (You have N trial days left.) with the Passer à un abonnement payant (Switch to a paid subscription) link.
- On the last day: a red banner: "Votre période d'essai est terminée." (Your trial period has ended.) with the Choisir un abonnement (Choose a subscription) link.
These banners are not displayed to "Lecteur" (Reader) members or to the accountant. As long as your account is in test mode, the "Mode test" banner is displayed in their place.
3. What happens at the end of the trial?
Billora does not automatically switch you to a free offer. At the end of the trial:
- If the Billora team has activated your subscription (after your request), your account continues normally and billing begins.
- If nothing has been done, your subscription becomes Suspendu (Suspended). You receive an email "Votre abonnement Billora est suspendu" (Your Billora subscription is suspended) (reason: end of the trial period without activation) and access to the workspace is blocked. A "Votre abonnement est suspendu" page offers to contact support.
Suspension cuts access but erases nothing. Once your situation is sorted out with the Billora team, the subscription is reactivated and you get everything back. If you prefer to leave, see Delete my account.
4. How to pay?
The subscription is currently managed with the Billora team: the app has no online payment button. To subscribe or change plan, use the Nous contacter (Contact us) button on the Plan & Facturation page (it pre-fills an email "Demande de changement de plan" (Plan change request) to contact@billora.ma). At that point you choose a monthly or annual cycle; the Plan & Facturation page reminds you that annual billing offers "2 mois offerts" (2 months free).
5. Tracking your subscription after the trial
| Displayed status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Période d'essai | You are in the trial, nothing to pay. |
| Actif | Your subscription is in progress. |
| Impayé | The period end date has passed with no renewal recorded. Contact the Billora team to settle. |
| Suspendu | Access is cut off (trial not activated at the end, or a team decision). |
| Annulé | The subscription has ended. |
Before the due date of an active subscription, the owner receives email reminders 7 days, 3 days and 1 day before the end of the period.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to provide a bank card to try it?
No, sign-up does not ask for any bank card.
Can I keep using Billora without paying after the trial?
Only if the Billora team has attached you to a plan without a billing period or extended your trial. Otherwise, the subscription is suspended. Ask contact@billora.ma before the deadline.
Does the trial countdown stop if I activate my account?
No. Activating the account (switching from test mode to real mode) does not change your subscription: the trial runs its course.
I can't find the price I accepted.
In Plan & Facturation, the Tarif (Rate) card displays your actual price, with any discount, "Tarif négocié" or promo code. The catalogue price is frozen at your sign-up: a later catalogue increase does not change your rate.
