What is it for?
Billora checks that the email address entered at sign-up is really yours. This is what later lets you recover your account if you forget your password and lets us send you your documents. Until verification is done, you cannot log in.
Example. Salma signs up from her phone in a café in Marrakech. She immediately receives an email containing a code, copies it into Billora and lands in her workspace.
Billora sends you a 6-digit code to type in, not a link to click. The code is valid for 15 minutes.
1. Verify your address, step by step
- Right after sign-up, the "Vérifiez votre email" (Verify your email) page opens. It shows the address the code was sent to.
- Open your mailbox: an email titled "Votre code de vérification Billora" (Your Billora verification code) has arrived.
- Enter the code in the six boxes on the page (you can also paste it in one go: it spreads across the boxes).
- Enter your password in the field provided: it is used to log you in automatically after verification.
- Click Vérifier et accéder à Billora (Verify and access Billora).
You then land on your workspace's getting-started guide, in test mode (see Trial period and test mode).
2. I did not receive the code
- Check your spam folder and the "Promotions" folder: the page reminds you.
- Check the address displayed at the top of the page: a typo at sign-up is the most frequent cause.
- Click "Renvoyer le code" (Resend the code). The button is available again after 60 seconds ("Renvoyer dans 59s", Resend in 59s…). A "Nouveau code envoyé" (New code sent) confirmation is displayed. You can request a new code at most 3 times per hour.
- Always use the latest code received: a new send replaces the previous one.
3. Error messages
| Message | What to do? |
|---|---|
| "Code invalide. Il doit contenir 6 chiffres." (Invalid code. It must contain 6 digits.) | Check that all six boxes are filled, with digits only. |
| "Code incorrect. Vérifiez votre email et réessayez." (Incorrect code. Check your email and try again.) | Re-read the code in the most recent email. |
| "Ce code a expiré. Cliquez sur « Renvoyer le code »." (This code has expired. Click "Resend the code".) | Request a new code (valid for 15 minutes). |
| "Trop de tentatives. Veuillez demander un nouveau code." (Too many attempts. Please request a new code.) | After 5 tries in 15 minutes, request a new code. |
| "Mot de passe incorrect." (Incorrect password.) | The code is right, but the password entered is not the one from sign-up. |
- Did you close the page before entering the code? Sign up again with the same email address: Billora sends you a new code instead of creating a second account. Keep the password from your first sign-up: it is what the verification page asks for.
- Unable to log in right after sign-up? This is not a bug: as long as the address is not verified, login answers "Email ou mot de passe incorrect" (Incorrect email or password).
- The Retour à la connexion (Back to login) link at the bottom takes you back to the login screen.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use a temporary email address?
No, disposable addresses (mailinator type) are refused at sign-up: "Les adresses email temporaires ne sont pas acceptées." (Temporary email addresses are not accepted.)
I changed my email address.
An address mistyped at sign-up cannot be corrected from the verification page: redo the sign-up with the correct address (a new account is created; the mistyped address, never validated, remains unused) or, if you run into difficulty, write to support at contact@billora.ma.
Does the code work if I have already verified my address?
An already verified address no longer needs a code: just log in.
And for my account's security afterwards?
