What is it for?

If you run several companies, you often have one Billora account per company, each with its own e-mail address. Billora can keep up to 5 accounts signed in at the same time on the same browser or phone: you switch from one to the other without typing your password again.

Example. Karim runs a consulting firm and a travel agency in Marrakech, with two e-mail addresses. He signs in to both accounts once; after that, one click on the other account opens the agency's invoices.

Each account stays separate

Only one account is active at a time. The data shown is always that of the active account: nothing from one company appears in the other. Each account keeps its own password, two-step verification and rights.

1. Signing in to another account on the website

  1. Click your name, top right, to open the account menu.
  2. Choose Se connecter à un autre compte (Sign in to another account).
  3. The Se connecter à un autre compte screen opens: « Connectez-vous avec l'adresse e-mail de votre autre compte Billora. Le compte actuel reste connecté. » (Sign in with the e-mail address of your other Billora account. The current account stays signed in.)
  4. Enter the e-mail address and password of the other account, then the two-step verification code if it is enabled.

The previous account is not signed out: it appears at the top of the sign-in screen, under Comptes connectés sur ce navigateur (Accounts signed in on this browser). One click reopens it if you change your mind.

2. Switching accounts on the website

  1. Open the account menu (your name, top right).
  2. Under Autres comptes connectés (Other signed-in accounts), click the account you want.
  3. The client area reloads on that account, in the last company you had opened there.

The account you leave stays signed in: it appears in turn under Autres comptes connectés.

3. In the mobile app

  1. Open the Plus tab.
  2. In the Comptes connectés (Signed-in accounts) section, tap Se connecter à un autre compte (« Une autre adresse e-mail, sans vous déconnecter » — another e-mail address, without signing out), then sign in with the other account.
  3. To switch accounts, tap the account you want in the same section. The start screen is shown while the account loads.

Accounts that are still signed in also appear on the sign-in screen, under Comptes connectés sur ce téléphone (Accounts signed in on this phone).

  • Notifications: they arrive for the active account. To receive those of the other account, switch to it.
  • Receipts kept offline: those of another signed-in account stay on the phone; they are sent when you switch back to that account.

4. Signing out

  • Déconnexion (website) or Se déconnecter (app) only signs out the active account. The others are still offered on the sign-in screen.
  • Se déconnecter de tous les comptes (Sign out of all accounts) signs out every account on this browser or phone. In the app, a confirmation is requested (Tout déconnecter button): receipts waiting to be sent are deleted from the phone.
Shared computer or phone

On a device other people use, choose Se déconnecter de tous les comptes when you leave: otherwise the accounts are still offered on the sign-in screen, and one click is enough to reopen them.

5. Locking without signing out

As on a computer, you can lock Billora when you step away: your accounts stay signed in, but nobody can reopen them without their password.

  1. Open the account menu (your name, top right) and choose Verrouiller la session (Lock the session).
  2. The Session verrouillée (Session locked) screen appears: « Vos comptes restent connectés : choisissez-en un et saisissez son mot de passe pour reprendre. » (Your accounts stay signed in: choose one and enter its password to resume.)
  3. Click your account (shown with a padlock icon), enter its password then Déverrouiller (Unlock). The two-step verification code is not asked again.

Locking applies to all accounts signed in on this browser: each one reopens with its own password when you switch to it.

Automatic locking

In Paramètres › Sécurité, the Verrouillage automatique (Automatic locking) section locks this browser after a period without activity: Jamais (Never, default), Après 5 minutes, Après 15 minutes, Après 30 minutes or Après 1 heure. The setting is specific to each browser: a shared computer can lock quickly, a personal one never. Activity in one tab counts for all open tabs.

The mobile app has its own lock (fingerprint, face or phone code), in Sécurité & 2FA.

6. Security

  • Each signed-in account is a sign-in of this device. It appears in Paramètres › Sécurité of that account (Navigateurs connectés on the website, Appareils connectés in the app), and you can sign it out remotely.
  • A sign-in that was signed out remotely, has expired (30 days on the website) or was cut by a password change disappears from the list: you must sign in again with the e-mail address and password.
  • Switching accounts is not possible while support is working on your account.
  • On a shared device, lock (section 5) or choose Se déconnecter de tous les comptes when you leave.

7. What if I prefer a single e-mail address?

The same address can also be a member of several companies, without changing account:

  • Create another company: in the account menu (website), choose Créer une nouvelle entreprise (Create a new company); in the app, Plus tab, Entreprises (Companies) section, tap Créer une nouvelle entreprise. A window first explains that it is a separate company with its own subscription (new contract, separate payment, trial then a plan to choose); on iPhone and iPad, the app only says that its data and settings are separate from the current company. Tick « J'accepte les conditions d'utilisation et la politique de confidentialité » (I accept the terms of use and the privacy policy) (mandatory: without it the button stays disabled and the server refuses the creation; the date and versions of the accepted texts are recorded). Then enter the Raison sociale (company name) then Créer l'entreprise (Create the company): you are its owner and Billora opens it right away. It starts on the first plan of the catalogue, with its own subscription and limits; then complete its details (ICE, IF, RC, address) in its settings.
  • Join someone's company: its owner invites you from Paramètres › Équipe; accept the invitation.
  • Switch from one company to another: on the website, with the Comptes selector of the menu; in the app, by tapping the company in the Entreprises section of the Plus tab. At your next sign-in, the app reopens the last company used; on the website, the « Choisir un compte » (Choose an account) screen appears first, the last company used being marked « (actuel) » (current).

You can own at most 5 companies (beyond that, contact support) and create 3 per 24 hours. A company where your role is Comptable (accountant) opens on the website only. See Roles and permissions.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between creating a company and signing in to another account?

Créer une nouvelle entreprise (Create a new company) adds one more company to your current account: same e-mail address, same password. It has its own data (clients, invoices, numbering, settings) and its own subscription (new contract, separate payment, trial then a plan to choose). You are its owner and you accept the terms when creating it.

Se connecter à un autre compte (Sign in to another account) is for when you already have another Billora account, with another e-mail address and its own password: it joins your signed-in accounts without signing you out of the current one. Nothing is created.

On iPhone and iPad, the app does not mention the subscription.

Do I have to type my password at every switch?

No. The password and verification code are requested once, when you add the account. After that, one click is enough as long as that account's sign-in remains valid.

Are the subscriptions combined?

No. Each account keeps its company, its subscription and its limits. Signing in to two accounts changes nothing in their billing.

Can an account with the Comptable (accountant) role be added in the app?

No: as at sign-in, the app refuses an account whose role is Comptable. Use the website for that account.
