What is it for?
Creating an account gives you a workspace in your name, where you prepare your invoices, quotes and expenses. Sign-up takes four short screens, with no bank card.
Example. Nadia has just opened a tailoring workshop in Fès, "Atelier Nadia Couture". She wants to try Billora before entering her real customers. She signs up in a few minutes with her email address, chooses a plan, then lands in a workspace where she can practise freely.
1. Open the sign-up page
On the Billora website, click Commencer gratuitement (Start for free), or open the /register page directly ("Créer un compte", Create an account). The subtitle reminds you: "4 étapes rapides — sans carte bancaire pour commencer." (4 quick steps — no bank card to start.)
If you already have an account, the Se connecter (Log in) link at the bottom of the page takes you to the login screen.
2. The four steps
A progress bar at the top shows where you are (Vous (You), Entreprise (Company), Plan, Accès (Access)). Click Continuer (Continue) to move forward and Retour (Back) to make corrections: nothing is lost when you change screens. The Enter key also moves you forward one step.
Step 1 — You
- Enter your Prénom (First name) and your Nom (Last name).
- Enter your Adresse email (Email address). A hint reminds you: "Un code de vérification vous y sera envoyé." (A verification code will be sent there.) It is also your login ID.
If a field is missing or the address is invalid, a red message appears under the field ("Indiquez votre prénom", "Saisissez une adresse email valide"…) and you cannot continue.
Step 2 — Company
- Enter the Raison sociale (Company name). This is the name of your company in Billora.
- If the list appears, you can indicate Comment nous avez-vous connus ? (How did you hear about us?) (optional).
There is no need to know your ICE, IF, RC or your address at this stage: the hint under the field says you will complete them later, in the settings. See Company settings.
Step 3 — Plan
Billora shows one card per plan, with its price ("Gratuit" (Free) or an amount in DH excl. tax) and its main limits: clients, invoices per month, users. Click the card of your choice: it unfolds and shows, where applicable, the number of free days ("X jours offerts — aucune carte bancaire requise" (X free days — no bank card required)) and what the plan adds compared with the previous one.
- When the selected plan is a paid one, a Mensuel / Annuel (Monthly / Yearly) selector appears above the cards.
- The Comparer les plans en détail (Compare plans in detail) button opens a table. By default it only shows Ce qui change (What changes) from one plan to the next; Tout voir (See everything) shows the rest.
- A note reminds you that prices are shown excluding tax and that you can change plan at any time.
Plans, their prices and their limits are set by Billora and change over time. What is displayed on screen, and on the Pricing page, always prevails. To understand the limits, see Understanding plans and limits.
Step 4 — Access
- A reminder at the top shows the selected plan; the Changer (Change) link takes you back to step 3.
- Choose your Mot de passe (Password). Three criteria are ticked live: "8 caractères minimum" (8 characters minimum), "Une majuscule" (One uppercase letter), "Un chiffre" (One digit). A three-bar gauge goes from red to green.
- Repeat it in Confirmer le mot de passe (Confirm password). The eye icon lets you reveal it to check what you typed.
- If you have a promo code, click J'ai un code promo (I have a promo code) and enter it (it is automatically converted to uppercase).
- Tick the box accepting the conditions d'utilisation (terms of use) and the politique de confidentialité (privacy policy). Both links open in a new tab.
- An anti-robot check is displayed. Then click Créer mon compte — Recevoir le code (Create my account — Receive the code).
The button stays greyed out as long as the password does not comply, the two entries differ, or the box is not ticked.
3. Right after: the verification code
Billora sends you a 6-digit code by email and opens the "Vérifiez votre email" (Verify your email) page. Copy the code, enter your password, and you enter your workspace. Everything is detailed in Verifying your email address.
Every new account is in test mode: your data is practice data, all features are open and no limit applies. Billora also prepares default units, expense categories and product categories for you, which you can modify. See Trial period and test mode.
4. If something blocks you
| Message | What to do? |
|---|---|
| "Cette adresse email est déjà utilisée" (This email address is already in use) | An account already exists with this address: use Se connecter (Log in) or "Mot de passe oublié" (Forgot password). |
| "Code promo invalide ou non applicable" (Invalid or inapplicable promo code) | Check the code. Billora deliberately does not detail the reason (expired, already used…). |
| "Vérification anti-robot échouée. Veuillez réessayer." (Anti-robot check failed. Please try again.) | Redo the check then submit again. |
| "Trop de tentatives. Réessayez dans N minutes." (Too many attempts. Try again in N minutes.) | Wait for the indicated time before trying again. |
If you had started a sign-up without entering the code, redo the sign-up with the same address: Billora sends a new code instead of creating a second account. If an error concerns a field from a previous step, Billora automatically reopens that step.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a bank card?
No. Sign-up does not ask for one, and the chosen plan can be changed at any time.
Can I change plan later?
Yes. See Changing plan.
Why is my password rejected?
It must contain at least 8 characters, one uppercase letter and one digit, and the two entries must be identical.
I made a mistake in my email address.
If you have not yet validated the code, go back to step 1 as long as the page is open. Otherwise, redo the sign-up with the correct address: a new account is created and the mistyped address, never validated, remains unused. If you run into difficulty, write to support at contact@billora.ma.
Will my invoices be real invoices right now?
Not straight away: test mode is for practice. You switch to live mode by activating your account, as explained in the article on test mode.
